ROSA has lived in Washington her whole life, growing up in the Seattle/Federal Way area. She has dedicated the last 5 years to working in the social service field helping families who are experiencing homelessness, low-income situations, mental health crisis, and victims/survivors of Domestic Violence and/or Sexual Exploitation. She has always had a passion for helping others and giving back to the community. Her main focus has always been helping marginalized populations. Understanding that not everyone knows what type of help is out there or how to ask for help. She understands the stigma behind people of color, different backgrounds, ethnicity and/or immigrants even speaking out. Being an immigrant herself she has worked hard to make her mark. Reminding herself of the struggles her parents faced while she was growing up and watching them follow and live out their “American Dream”. Now she gets to do the same. She has always wanted to work with children and she’s excited and grateful to be joining CIS. She’s excited to make connections with kids through her dad jokes and magic tricks.
Outside of work she enjoys many things some of which include spending time with family and friends, having game nights, building Lego’s, doing anything Marvel related, movies, music, photography, traveling and her all-time favorite activity is chasing sunsets with her partner.
