KATHY (she/her) is an artist, mother, and fundraiser. She has worked in philanthropy since 2006 after semi retiring from a 20 year theater career. Inspiring people to act on their beliefs through storytelling for the stage has been Kathy’s passion; she now uses her storytelling skills to inspire the community to act on their beliefs.
What Kathy loves most about philanthropy is all she has learned about how to solve our community’s problems: how to end chronic homelessness, how to heal children in trauma through art, and how to support LGBTQ communities. She is thrilled to learn more about how to support children and families in Renton’s and Tukwila’s communities so that they may not just survive, but thrive.
When not working, Kathy is bringing her work home by teaching her twins their roles in ending racism, that gender isn’t binary, and how everyone deserves a place to call home. On weekends she, her twins, and her husband are usually making art, taking family hikes, and snuggling with their cat.
