At age seven, JACKIE fell in love with her second-grade teacher and decided that was what she wanted to be when she grew up. She never lost sight of her dream and recently retired from forty years in the field of education. During her career, she taught primary (K-3 grade) children, was a parent educator for a community college preschool program, and spent the last sixteen years serving as an elementary school principal. If you asked Jackie she would tell you it was a career filled with much joy, fun and many blessings. Now that she is retired she finds herself doing the things she never had time for during her career. She rows, hikes, crochets, embroiders, makes hand bound books, volunteers and spends quality times with family and friends. Having spent so many years in the presence of children, Jackie has learned that by looking at the world through the eyes of a child there is much wisdom to be found.
