GLISENYS (Glee) has over 16+ years of teaching and mentoring experience, her passion for learning and serving her community was instilled in her by her 9th grade ESL teacher. She has had the privilege of working with colleagues, parents, and students from an array of ethnic backgrounds, providing professional teaching services to students with various ranges of social and economic backgrounds. Her goal is to serve as the liaison for the school, parents and students in order to achieve every students’ academic success. Her strong organizational and time management strengths have helped her to maintain a positive and productive learning environment. Her model is to have an everlasting impact by transforming each student’s life, one child at time.
She moved to Seattle seven years ago with her family and loves the endless possibilities of what the Pacific Northwest has to offer. She enjoys the outdoors (running, hiking and “chasing the sun”). She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated (Lambda Alpha Zeta Chapter), WOF (Women of Flavor), BGR (Black Girls Run), Girls Trek, and Jack and Jill of America (Seattle Chapter).
