CINDY was born and raised here in Seattle, WA. She just recently graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in social welfare. As a first-generation Latina here in the U.S. navigating the education system has sometimes been a challenge. This is where her passion for education, equity, and access began to grow. There is a huge need for college and career access, and she wants to be a part of it by supporting students and families.
In her previous work, she served as a teacher’s assistant at a Montessori preschool where she knew she was on the right path to starting a career in education. Later, she was a college and career readiness assistant at a middle school and a high school supporting low-income students of in having a postsecondary plan.
In her free time, Cindy enjoys spending time with friends and family, binge watching popular T.V. shows, and drinking coffee. She also is a dog mom to her one-year-old Pitbull. She loves to travel whenever she can. She is proud of her Mexican roots from Jalisco, Mexico. And is the oldest of 3 siblings.
